Brown, Porzingis Combine for 42 in Crucial Game
The Boston Celtics are just one win away from securing the 2024 NBA championship. The Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-98 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead.
Despite a furious comeback attempt by the Mavericks, the Celtics held on to their lead in the fourth quarter. Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with 22 points, while Kristaps Porzingis, who came off the bench, contributed 20 points for the Celtics.
The Mavericks made a late push in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics' defense proved too strong. Dallas cut the lead to just five points with under three minutes remaining, but the Celtics closed out the game with timely free throws and strong defense.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals will take place on Tuesday, June 6, in Boston. The Celtics can clinch the title with a win, while the Mavericks will need to rally to avoid a sweep.
